Nigella Lawson had viewers enraptured once more with her latest flirty cooking segment for Nigella’s Amsterdam Christmas.

The TV chef, 63, helped viewers get into the festive spirit with her cooking advice in the one-off BBC special, during which she was seen garnishing mini-sausages.

In another segment, the star showed the audience how to whip up a batch of savoury pastries in her typically sultry style.

In the clip, she said: ‘I advise you to use the back of spoons or some such to do this safely.

‘Immediately brush the bars with apricot jam with lemon juice. Cover with a generous scattering of flaked almonds, then drizzle and zigzag over a citrus glaze.’

Viewers took to X/Twitter to react to the clip, with one joking: ‘Sort of sausagey, not that suggesti…..WOAAHHHH there she goes!

The poster of the clip called the cinematography ‘extraordinary’ to which one viewer cheekily replied: ‘Is that the food or Nigella?’

Another wrote: ‘She knows her audience so well….. nothing jars.’

Elsewhere, Nigella amused viewers with a hilarious innuendo in another cooking session.

As she gathered ingredients for an array of dishes in her kitchen, the chef proved to be adept at crushing nuts.

Sprinkling some nuts into a large bag, she said: ‘And for this, I need my nut bashing bag.’ Smashing the contents, she added: ‘Very useful.’

Nigella then gave a cheeky smile to the camera and said: ‘We all need an outlet at Christmas.’

Taking to X/Twitter, one viewer reacted with: ‘I need a nut bashing bag #nigella…

Nigella recently told how she is not necessarily one for sticking to Christmas tradition when it comes to cooking.

She told The Sunday Times: ‘Much as I love a slice of dense, damp Christmas cake, especially when eaten with a slice of strong, sharp cheese, I am surrounded by those who abominate dried fruit in all its seasonal manifestations.

‘If no one in your family likes dried fruit, there’s no point having a Christmas cake gathering dust or just being eaten on sufferance. If chocolate cake appeals more, go for it.’
